The camp population primarily consists of individuals from the South Carolina region serving time for white-collar crimes and minor offenses. All camp residents must be within 10 years of their release date.
FCI Edgefield partnered with Greater Aiken SCORE to provide business training for inmates approaching release, using the "Simple Steps for Starting Your Business" program.
The camp offers the RDAP, though notably the main FCI does not have this program available.
Housing at the camp consists of dormitories divided into two-person pods, providing slightly more privacy than open-bay arrangements found at some other camps.
