FCI Edgefield (minimum-security camp)
Notes from Alumni
- The camp population primarily consists of individuals from the South Carolina region serving time for white-collar crimes and minor offenses. All camp residents must be within 10 years of their release date.
- FCI Edgefield partnered with Greater Aiken SCORE to provide business training for inmates approaching release, using the "Simple Steps for Starting Your Business" program.
- The camp offers the RDAP, though notably the main FCI does not have this program available.
- Housing at the camp consists of dormitories divided into two-person pods, providing slightly more privacy than open-bay arrangements found at some other camps.
