Notes from Alumni

  • Ben Reyes, who served time in the camp for bribery and conspiracy, described it as "a more relaxed, more bucolic facility" compared to other federal institutions he experienced.
  • A former resident shared on Quora that the camp is considered "a cushy place to do time" with no wall or perimeter fencing, no passes needed, and dormitory housing.
  • The camp has housed several notable inmates including televangelist Jim Bakker and former Pennsylvania State Senator Robert J. Mellow.
  • Camp residents may participate in community service work outside the facility, including roadside cleanup projects.
