FCI El Reno (minimum-security camp)
Appearance
Notes from Alumni
- FCI El Reno made history on July 16, 2015, when President Barack Obama became the first sitting U.S. president to visit a federal prison. Obama toured the facility and met with inmates to discuss criminal justice reform.
- The camp is one of only two remaining farm facilities in the Bureau of Prisons, operating a working dairy farm where inmates can gain agricultural experience.
- The camp offers apprenticeships in Dental Assistant, along with vocational training in Diesel Repair and Horticulture—programs not typically found at most federal camps.
- Housing consists of dormitories divided into two- and four-person cubicles, providing a range of accommodation options based on availability.
